Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

using fake info to get a credit card

about a month ago i filled out an application online for a credit card and used it 1 time on a 60.00 purchase. I called to see if everything went through and they must have figured the info was all fake and stopped the credit the day after the purchase (which was fine cause i KNEW it was wrong and i'd already cut the card up) I'm sending a money order to pay for it when the statement comes. How much trouble could i get into for this? And how did the app go through and get activated before they figured it wasen't legit?
