Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Do I have any rights when it comes to a verbal agreement of payment with a 17 year old minor? The said minor is 18 now. I entered into this verbal agreement and payments were made to me, then the other party didn't continue to pay, and avoids me.
