once i have asked for an attorney is what i say after that considered usable?

i was brought in for questioning about a theft. he read me my rights and i told him i did not want to talk to him without an attorney presant. he proceeded to talk to me and i asked for my attorney again and he kept trying to talk to me. i did this trhee times before i crossed my arms and said i want an attorney. what is the ramifications of all this? can he use what i said against me?

The best course of events, if questioned by police, is to refuse to answer any questions without your lawyer present, then zip it! But, if I have a case where my client was "in custody" and asked for a lawyer before answering questions, and then the cop ignored that and continued questioning, then I would expect a judge to suppress the statements made afterwards (assuming the evidence bore that you).

There are many issues and potential issues in situations like this. You would be well advised to discuss in person with a good criminal lawyer.
