Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

My boyfriend is in jail for breaking an OFP. We have been trying to get this order dropped but haven't been able to because he has been in treatment and the court dates keep getting pushed back. Once the order is removed is it possible that his previous charges of breaking the OFP can be dropped??
