Impersonating an officer???

had an interesting conversation with someone who has been harassing a friend of mine... a little background I'm an officer in a security company called capital enforcement. A gentleman has been harassing a friend of mine over the phone VIA text message and actual verbal communication. I received word of this and called the person and said clearly as I usually do when someone calls or I'm calling someone I've never met in person,

''This is officer last name with Capital Enforcement'' and proceeded to give him a cease and desist of any further communication with my friend. I also stated clearly that ''Violating this order will result in criminal charges being pressed''

Just to cover my end I'd like to know if i sounded like I was impersonating a police officer, I never thought twice about what i said until I ended the phone conversation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It does sound like you were intentionally trying to mislead teh person. It could be a basis for criminal charges. It is not likely, but possible. If you were not acting within the scope of your employment, it was inappropriate at a minimum.
