Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

Minor consumption over 18

I recieved a minor consumption when I was 19. Will this ever go off my record? If not, is there a way to get it off my record? Lastly, I am going into college for Aviation to become a pilot. If you have any idea how it will effect my status in getting into a program or anything with the aviation field will be great. More info: I recieved it about 2 months ago. .08 bac and I payed the fine that same day so I never had to go to court. Any other information on future of this (conviction?) or any other legal advice is appreciated.

Go off what record? It will never be removed from your court record. It may go off your drivers license record after a period of years -- check with the Minnesota Dept of Public Safety - Driver Evaluation on that, or the "Minnesota Rules" which govern that agency.

As for how that may affect your aviation career, I don't know, but you might start with the Federal Aviation Administration. I have had clients in the past who had their pilots license yanked, until we won the DWI case, when they got it reinstated.

It would have been better had you retained a lawyer and fought it in court, rather than pleading guilty by paying the fine. You might try re-opening the case, then fighting it.
