Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

Ques: Do I legally own a frearm or not?
Ques. am I considered a felon in the eyes of the federal Government?
I made a 1 time "stay of imposition" deal to plead quilty to posession of marijuana over 1 ounce over 30 yrs. ago. I was around 22 yrs. old.
I have never been in trouble before or since. When I purchased a handgun a few years ago the store submitted all of my info. to the ATF or wherever they submit it to. after 5 days the store received no answer either for or against me purchasing the firearm which meant that they could in fact sell the handgun to me. I puchased the handgun. The same thing happened when I purchased a 30.06 rifle a few years before that. The state (Minnesota) issues me a Hunting License each year that I apply. I am asking because I want to train & apply for a "Conceal Carry Permit" and of course I want to be unquestionably Legal.
