In most instances the answer to your question would be "no." To conduct a search, law enforcement would genberally require a warrant or consent of the owner/occupant. There are a number of exceptions to the warrant requirement which generally require some exigent circumstance or that some illegal subtsance is in plain view. Without knowing more about the particular facvts of the case, it is difficult to assess.
If an unlawful search was conducted, it is possible to file a Motion to suppress the evidence adduced seized from that search and resulting from that search at trial.
