Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

release from prison after felony due, did 19 months+ more

This is an inquiry regarding Minnesota law, I have been released from prison after serving 18 months plus 30 days for not going through the treatment program in Stillwater, mn. The ''felony'' dui occured in late early 2005. I will be on ''parole'' and have been told I have to use the daily breathalizer and after all this time served and will ''never'' get my drivers license back, I don't understand the reason for the monitoring. Is I am getting married in July and am re-starting up my new business and all of this will keep me from perusing all I need to in order to really get my company going. What can I say or to my parole officer, or do to at least not have to do the daily thing? I realize I am on a mandatory probation also, but I feel that time served should be just and anything is going overboard. Please reply... Greatly appreciated!!!

For an alcohol related felony, monitoring for alcohol use is a usual condition of probation. I know of not circumstances where it has been waived. You may file a Motion to have it waived, but, it would seem unlikely.
