Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
My cousin is in the process of getting divorced and has a no contact order against him from his wife. His wife wants to give me some baby items. Is it okay to accept these items? They both agreed to give them to me before the divorce.

If there is a no contact order, he is bound by the terms of that order. He cannot communicate with or be around the person with htat order in most circumstances. Certainly, property items can be delivered through a third party. However, if any communication or contact occurs, your cousin can be charged with a crime regardless of who initiates that contact.

Hello. If there would be some sort of communication prohibited by the no contact order, then the person subject to the order would be violating the terms of the order. Communication may take occur in various forms, including third party communication.
