my former husband has died,we have a child still in high school,who is responseable to pay his child support. i have a divorce decree that says he was to pay the loan on our van, i have the van instead of alimony.

If he has any assets, you will need to make a claim against his estate. You definitely want to speak to an attorney as soon as possible.
