Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I have full custody of my daughter for the past year due to the mothers problems with drugs.well my girlfriend and I live together including my son and my daughter.my question is, if I were to leave to active military can I grant my girlfriend custody? Or do I automaticly give custody to her birth mother till my return?

The answer depends on yourorder. However, the mother would be in a strong position to reassert her parental rights and seek custody.
