Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

house payment

I left--name removed--husband with the hope of getting things worked out. Only took what I needed to wear and get along till I could go home. He paid the housepayment and I paid the electric and a couple of the the other bills. Now he is saying I need to pay him for 1/2 of the housepayment because we are getting an divorce. He is keeping the house.--name removed--I need to pay him and--name removed--I have an right to ask for 1/2 what it cost to rent and electric and heat bill. I was hoping to go back but not happening.

Re: house payment

If you are divorcing in Minnesota, you are entitled to your share of marital assets including the home. It won't matter if you left. Call an attorney. Dennis
