Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I got an Ex Parte Order for Protection against my Mother. She has requested a hearing. I have a lot of proof of the recent abuse...plus a bit about prior abuse. I am 31 and got the order because she watched my children and hit them, seemly just cause she was in a bad mood, and then sent numerous threatening text messages. What should I expect at the hearing?

If contested the matter proceeds to an evidentiary hearing - a trial - before the Judge where the rules of evidence would apply. You must be aware of the rules that apply to such proceedings including how to present evidence. For a consultation call 612.240.8005.
