Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Hi, I wanted to know if I can legally move out of my house when I'm 17? Right now I'm 16, but next month in February I'll be 17. The reason why is simply because of problems at home. I'm looking into getting GRS and besides signing consent forms, my granma (I live with my mom and granma) aren't exactly 100% and I know it'll take time but I'm tired of arguing about it and why I want to do this. But really, finances are the problem. Where we live at, high school is expensive. With me alone, we are spending over $400 just to support ME. I do sports, getting drivers ed, books, clothes, shoes, glasses and such. And all of this is only for basically one semester a school year. Now we don't make much, I'm the only one working now so I'm paying almost all of the $400, and my costs are too heavy and cause serious problems. I can't just say f**k it to my sports life and I need to drive, but it's so expensive now it's causing more trouble than before! And just recently, my granma said that if I want to go I can go. She'll even help me when I'm 17 to find a place just so I can 'get the hell out and stop bothering her'. So with that in mind, any way I can move out? I basically support myself anyway with buying my own shit and already paying the almost $300 for drivers ed by myself, getting my own phone and phone bill under control, and even about to get a now laptop, as well as helping with the internet bill by basically paying half, which I personally feel is fair because I use a laptop, tablet, big HD tv, and phone. All need to be charged and that racks up the bill. With all THAT in mind, can I move out?

I suggest you phone Crisis Connection 24-7 - you may phone repeatedly. Trained counselors are available always to talk with you. Talk with the school counselors, the school principal, one or more trusted teachers. Your health care card should have a 24 hr. no. to call.
