Legal Question in Medical Leave in Minnesota

Fmla

I am 5 months pregnant. I work for an employer who I don't think has to give me maternity leave. Is it true that if you have not been with the company for a year and it employs less than 20 employees, then they dont have to give you Maternity leave. I will be one month shy of a year when I am due and I am worried that I wont have a job anymore when it comes that time.

At least under federal law, there is no requirement for maternity leave for an employer with less than 20 employees. There may be something under your state's laws which would be of benefit to you, but you would have to speak with an attorney in your state to determine that.
