a friend moved in
I have a friend who was supposed to just stay with me for one week. its been three months now. she does not pay rent or any other bills. can I just kick her out or do I have to evict? it also should be noted that she leaves my house a mess, and leaves the gas on every once in a while. I want her out.

If you do not have a contract to rent or sublease your apartment to your friend, you may remove her immediately. You need to inform your friend that you would like her out. Give her a reasonable time to leave (a few days to a week). If she refuses, she is a trespasser.
