Legal Question in Immigration Law in Minnesota

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently on H4 (dependent visa). I am planning to pursue higher education in order to work legally in USA. With reference to the same while I was researching, I came across "University of North America. Vienna,Virginia) which allows their F1 students to work right from day 1, outside the campus. It sounded too good to be true when I actually called them up and confirmed the same.

However I am very skeptical to join this university as I have come across universities which offer similar courses, like "Tri valley,LA", which was closed by Homeland security/Federal agencies , due to legal issues.

Please note that this university has produced a lot of successful graduates who have undergone their courses without any legal issues(being deported etc).

Kindly advice if it is safe and secure to apply for this university.

If you are in H-4 status, you cannot work, even though you can attend school.

However, even if you were on an F-1 student visa, you would still be required to obtain CPT or OPT in order to be able to legally work. It seems that what this school is advising you is incorrect for your situation.
