Severance Pay
My Husband has worked for a company for 18 years as an IT Mgr. He was just laid off due to a financial situation and was only offered 4 weeks of severance pay. Industry standard is 1 week of severance for each year employed. They want him to sign a letter stating he will take the 4 weeks. I don't want him to sign anything. Do we have a case?
