Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota

Im 17 i live in mn and recently i was in a car accident this guy was was coming out of a drive way but he didnt see me coming, so he took of really quick and hit me right in the front of my car. my car got tottel and he didnt get that much damage. the police came and took the info but my problem is that i didnt had insuarnce or a drivers linces. the police said that it is his fault but seens i didnt had inrsuance or a drivers linces it was going to be a problem on me. so i dont know whats going to happen. could you please tell me a little bout what would happen in this situation ?

You could end up with citations for driving without insurance and/or driving without a license. However, neither of those citations eliminate the other driver's liability, if they were at fault for the accident. You may consider pursuing a claim against his insurance company....
