Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota

I was injury in a cubfoods 12/22/09 .. The cart boy hit me in my back with about 8 carts. I have had issue with my back every since. They offered me $300.00 I decline. How long do I have to file a claim on this accident?

This sounds like a case of negligence on the part of Cub Foods (specifically, their employee, but they will held to be liable for the actions of their employees if the actions are within the scope of employment - this seems to be the case here).

Because of this, the Statute of Limitations will run out 2 years after the injury.

This means you'll have until 12/22/2011 to file suit on this action.

My suggestion: Hire an attorney to represent you.

Because of the extremely low offer of settlement you've been getting it does not appear Cub will take you seriously. That almost always changes when they hear that an attorney is involved. Even a negotiated settlement reached by a competent attorney will likely dwarf the paltry $300 you were offered.
