Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota

Statute of limitations

What is the MN statute of limitations on a pain and suffering lawsuit as a result of an auto accident? My friend had a very small fender bender almost 6 years ago, and is now being served with a $100,000.00 lawsuit, is this legal?

Re: Statute of limitations

The statute of limitations for personal injury is 6 years in Minnesota. A lawsuit based on only pain and suffering damages, rather than a physical injury, is unlikely to succeed and has severe limitations. That issue alone requires further clarification.
