Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

Cattle Fence

Our neighbors cows are wondering on to our land and we don't want them there. Is he required to keep them fenced on his property? Are we required to help pay for the fence if we are the ones who want it?

Re: Cattle Fence

Your neighbor is responsible for keeping his cows on his property, and is trespassing if he doesn't do so. Your neighbor should bear the cost of any enclosure necessary to keep his cows on his property. If you are interested, I would be happy to discuss with you ways to resolve the issue with your neighbor.
