Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

My husband and five sisters are owners of a property on a lake in MN. My husband is now deceased and I would like to know if it is necessary to replace his name with mine on property--and what would be that average cost to do this....Thank you

As a general action, you will likely have to commence a probate action to transfer his ownership to you. Hopefully he had a will that left it all to you alone. There could be some other possibilities, depending on how the lot was titled and when he passed away and if there is no will. Cost is pretty variable depending on the other possibilities. If you give me more information (e.g., copy of deed to your husband, info about will, date of death) I can be more definite.
