Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

Question about property

I have recently (4 months ago)recieved Title(ownership) on a car which my mother previously owned, The car is being strored at my brother-in-laws farm. I have asked about getting my car from him/there and he keeps telling me that I have to wait for him to be ready. This is my car and he is holding it from me. It is not a scheduling conflict, he is just being spiteful and difficult. What legal action or course can I take to get my property from his posestion. This has been an issue for about 6 weeks now.

Re: Question about property

Essentially, your brother-in-law has stolen your car. If he has refused to return it to you despite reasonable opportunity to do so, you can report it to the police. You could also bring a lawsuit for any damages you incur as a result of having been denied access to your car.
