Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Minnesota

no will- no life insurance

my father recencently passed away leaving no will, having no life insurance and virtually no estate to speak of(tangible assets)-he had 3 outstanding loans with the same bank for his house(52,000), an RV (24,000) and boat (9000)he leased his vehicle, which we returned and credit card debt totaling approx 25,000. To add insult to injury we found that he has a substantial IRS obligation of debt (11000-13000?) we,his surviving children, literally want nothing to do with this entire mess can we just ''walk away'' what exactly is the process we must follow- or whom do we have to notify other than the bank which has his loans? He also had credit life insurance on 2 of his loans at the bank which the bank wants to file for & wants copies of the death cert from us - however in filling out these forms he falsely did so stating he had no pre-existing medical conditions: he had a 20 yrs heart problem history. We told the bank this and they told us to ''keep our thoughts to ourselves'' we really have no clue as to what to do- with nothing there we really don't want to spend an exorbinate amt of money on an attorney if we don't have to

There is much too much missing information to answer this. Please e-mail me with your contact information and I can tell you if it makes any sense to probate it. Dennis
