Re: is there a penalty

The check needs to be issued within 14 days after the Order is filed. Generally, an Order is filed the same day the judge signs it. Since the insurer has 14 days after the Order is filed to cut the check, it take more than 14 days before you receive it. Nothwithstanding those factors, yes there is a penalty for late payment.
