What is the wage compensation you receive during a workmans compensation leave?

If your injured at work how do they determine whether you qualify for benefits or not?

You should get 2/3 of your Average Weekly Wage. The insurance company will probably not calculate your wage right, so you may want to hire an attorney to see if you are owed additional pay.

Also, the insurer determines whether your injury is caused by work activities. The insurer typically looks for any way around paying benefits.

I think for any work comp claim where an employee has a significant injury or a lot of time off, he or she should meet with an attorney.
