Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Mississippi

email forwarding of photos

my daughter received nude photos

over the internet then forwarded them to friends on a public school computer. When the photos were discovered, she was given 3 day suspension, and the term 'pornagraphic' was used in the report. She doesn't know what pornography is. I am unsure what to do about the suspension, possible violation of her right to privacy, and the fact that this issue involves something far..., nude photos being sent via email to a minor

Re: email forwarding of photos

Eh...she sent the photos over the school internet. There's not much you can do here, it doesn't matter whether she knows the word "pornographic" or not. There's no student right to privacy on a school computer system.

The second issue is why she received such pictures in the first place and why the school didn't have a suitable firewall up. Keep the issues separate.
