Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

falsely accused of taking money

My husband's previous employer says he failed to turn over $3400 in collections. This came about when he quit his job and two bosses came to pick up the company van. He signed a paper saying how many containers of money were on the van but the company is saying the paper he signed is non-existent. He did not take the money - it was on the van when the bosses came to the house and drove it back to their company. The paper he signed will prove this. What can we do?

Re: falsely accused of taking money

Preserve proof of the circumstances that support the truth, i.e. admissions and documentation that they picked up the van and contents, the employer's operating policies and forms related to such a situation, the delay between the time of the transaction and the allegations, and witness testimony about the transaction and their turnover of the van, contents, and related documents to the employer. Additionally, the employer might be persuaded to require the employees to participate in a polygraph.
