Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Adult Children worried about Aging Parents finances

I am one of 7 children and our parents are in their late 70's. We are wanting to find out their financial status and to advise and help them plan for their future. How do we approach them? What rights do we have if they don't want to tell us the details of their finances, as I'm expecting?

Re: Adult Children worried about Aging Parents finances

You have no right what so ever. If they get physically or mentally unable to conduct their affairs, you must get two doctors to say so and go to court and have a Conservator appointed by the Court. See a lawyer for more information. Age, by the way, is not a factor.
