How would my 24 year old son go about having his first and/or middle name changed? Do I have to use an attorney?
He is a Junior and his father is an alcoholic with bad credit.

It's not a complicated procedure, but you will need an attorney because you have to petition the court for an order allowing you to change the name. Plus you have to get the department of vital statistics involved.
