Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Mississippi

honoring an agreement

I have a signed agreement between a carpet company. The owner signed an agreement to pay me two payment of $520 after 90 days? That time has passed, Ihave contacted him and his attorney to no avail. How would I resolve this situation? He lives in a different state than where the service was performed.

Re: honoring an agreement

If the defendant's assets are located in a State different from your's, you may not be able to practically collect on a judgment against the business owner. So you might consider asking the better business bureau or the carpet manufacturer involved if he is one of their distributors. You might post your information on a web site that alerts consumers about his breach or you might consider creating your own website devoted to informing the public about your situation if he does not amicably settle the matter with you reasonably soon. Alternatively, you can sue him in justice court where he lives and try to collect the judgment there.
