Legal Question in Employment Law in Mississippi

The question is.."Should i offer to pay for a broken window at my place of employment?" The sale cart that we have to push out to sidewalk every morning has 6 small caster wheels, they hang up in a large crack in sidewalk and the cart tips sometimes and gets stuck.I was pushing it out Monday morning, and the wheels got stuck and the cart tipped and hit one of the front windows in the store and broke the glass. The building is leased to my boss. Should i offer to help pay or should i do like everyone is telling me,and just don't offer.I apologized profusely, and helped clean up and tape the window.Don't know what i should do!! Offer to pay or shut up!!

If breaking the window was not due to any fault on your part you are under no obligation to reimburse the employer for providing you with faulty equipment (cart) to use.
