Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Mississippi

We have a dispute over 2 feet of property. There is a barn built on this 2 feet and after 25 years, the owner of the 2 feet have contacted a lawyer and is suing to remove the barn and fence. Also suing for a pond that was built 5 years ago on my property. There is a distance of 75 feet from the edge of my pond and the property line. The neighbors property goes up-hill and has natural springs running thru it. I am down-hill from the property line, but they are claiming that my pond backs up when it rains and floods 5 acres of their property. I've had timber surveyers here and they laugh because there is no way that the neighbors property is becoming wet because of the pond. It is wet because of their natural springs running thru it. My question is, do they have a credible lawsuit? Thanks for any info.

Any lawsuit, credible or not, can be won if proper steps are not taken to defend the lawsuit. Contact counsel of your choice immediately! You have thirty (30) days from the date you first got served the papers to file an Answer or some other response or you may lose everything they are asking for. Apparently some lawyer thought they had a credible enough claim to take the claim as a cause, so you need to act as if the matter is credible and serious or you may lose property.
