What is the legal age for signing a quit claim deed to property received from a parent who died intestate? The deed was signed in 1979 in Mississippi by a 20 year old. Was he considerd a minor at that time?

21 is the legal age in Mississippi for one to execute a deed. However, since this was done in 1979, any problem may be cured by the Statute of Limitations. Assuming no other disability, he or she had until he or she turned 31 to bring suit to set aside the deed.
