lien on property

my grandfather bought a piece of property deeded it to my mother with a lien for 21,500.00on the property payableto my grandparents.one year later my mother deeded me the property i did not know about this lien. several years later my grand parents passed away and my mother is termianly ill what can i do to get this lien taken off my deed? please help quick...

There is a statute of limitations, but the facts underlying the lien will determine when the statute runs. You need to confer with a lawyer with all the documents in hand.
