Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Missouri

i need to know important information

my care provider, my mother was originally sentenced to a year and 9 months in jail on my birthday. before hand my mother had paniced and thought she needed a letter from a doctor stating all that she was taking care of, she thought she had to have or she would go to jail, so she typed a false letter and signed the doctors name. the original sentence was 5 months supervised probation on house arrest, but when the judge found out about the letter he became angry and sentenced her to a year and 9 months in jail. everything here at home was being taken care of by my mother and now she's gone and we don't know what to do. we wanted to know if there is any way we could get her sentence shortend, we can't live on our own like this, my mother never had a criminal background ever. she made one mistake after never doing anything wrong and now she's in jail. im only 16 and my brother is 18. there has to be a way to get her out, she doesn't belong there. is there any way for our mothers sentence to be served at home on house arrest for the year and 9 months? please don't tell me there isn't because we can't survive without her, she's everything to us. she pays the bills. we refuse to just have her sit in prison. please help.

Re: i need to know important information

The space allowed in a forum like this, does not provide for a thorough explanation of all of the facts of a case. However, you have provided so few facts about your mother's charges that it is nearly impossible to tell you whether her sentence can be reduced, or served alternatively. If you do not get any satisfactory responses, perhaps you could resubmit with a short description of what she was convicted of.

Good Luck
