How long is a personal check valid? Is a stop payment on a check the same thing as a bad check?

6 months. It may depending on basis for stopping payment.

The cheque is valid for six months. Stop payment is as bad as insufficient fund. if you want to issue stop payment, keep the balance to meet the cheque amount, then issue stop payment. if further clarification is required you can contact me by email.
