Bond Question

I wrote a Check to a bailbonds man to get my brother out of jail. Now, he is refusing to repay me. If I put a stop pymt on the check I wrote, will I be in any trouble leagally?

I am surprised a bondsman took a check and would bet he took it right to your bank and cashed it. If he did not, and he is injured by the check coming back, he can simply send out a bounty hunter to grab your brother and revoke his bond.
