Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

Can I press harassment charges?

I live in a trailer park and have four children. Three trailers down live another couple who also have four children. Their childern have on several occasions come into my yard and harassed my children. I have talked to the landlored and he has talked to them, but they refuse to keep their children in their yard. My children can no longer play outside for fear of their children yelling profanity, spitting, hitting etc.... I have told them to stay out of my yard but it does no good. Their mother has come into my yard and yelled profanity at me saying her children don't have to stay in their yard etc.... Is their any legal action I can take?

Hopeless

Re: Can I press harassment charges?

I suggest you call your local police and report these incidents. You can tell them that neighbors are trespassing on your property and disturbing your peace. Hopefully, they will be able to prevent further problems. If not, they can help you file a complaint and take these folks to court. You might also contact your local juvenile office and report the incidents involving the minor children. Juvenile authorities in Missouri handle incidents in which minors commit acts that would result in the filing of a criminal charges if they were adults. You should be able to find telephone numbers for all of these agencies in your local phone book. Good luck.
