Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

Refusing payment on a judgement

My husband's ex wife has a judgement against him. He has made numerous phone calls and we sent her a certified letter that she signed and still refuses payment or to release the lien on the house. It has been 3 years since the judgement was entered. What can we do to get this paid? The courts will not do a thing and say we have to get an attorney. Can we sue her for contempt of court or contempt of compliance? She is doing the same on paid up child support over a year and a half ago. They say we have to get an attorney also. This is very unfair of MO to do this.

Thank you

Re: Refusing payment on a judgement

If your husband has fuly paid the judgement, he can submit a Satisfaction to the court, and set it up for hearing. He will have to get adequate Notice to the judgement creditor.

Good Luck
