Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

Hello, how are you doing? My concern is, I had a co-signer on a car loan and the company got paid from the co-signer through garnishment. The garnishment was paid in full. Now they are trying to make me pay them $6300.00. They say that it is interest for the vehicle, but the vehicle is paid off. What should I do?

It is unclear from yrou post whether the interest wa sdue when they garnishment paid off the principal amount. If it was not due nd owing then, you do not owe the interest. If the interest ahd accured before the principal got paid, then both you and the gaurantor may owe the interest.

Good luck
