Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

What will happen if a credit card company sues me. I only owe a little over a $1000, but they are suing me. I have tried to set up payments but they want the balance in full

What will likely occur is that you will get a letter, from an attorney demanding the full amount. You may have an opportunity to set up payment arrangements with that attorney. If not, suit will be filed and a deputy will serve a copy upon you. If they obtain judgment, you may have another opportunity to make payments. If not, they will attempt to garnish your wages and/or bank accounts.

Good luck
