Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

19 year old arrested distrb +35

I was recently arrested with over 35 grams of marijuana. I was parked with the vehicle turned off when four squad cars surrounded me immediatly pull me out of vehicle and begin to search my vehicle it wasnt until I was already hand cuffed that they asked whos car it was and I said my fathers. I was held 20 hours for booking and released next day without any paperwork. A week ago my dad walks up to city hall to see why my car hadn't been released and he finds out that they have already put it on auction. During the arrest they did not read my my rights, or give any probable cause to search my fathers vehicle. Any information you could give me about how my situations would be appreciated. I have no prior arrests, nothing on my record. Thank you.

You're facing the loss of your father's car and a class C felony at least that carries up to seven years in prison and you're looking on the internet for legal advice? You should have already hired the very best criminal defense attorney you can afford to represent you, and it is not too late to do so now. Your attorney will be able to discuss the facts of your case, the law and how the law applies to your facts. YOur attorney will also be able to get all of the information from the other side to see what they have to say about "probable cause" and so forth. My guess is that they had information from someone. In any event, you have already made some very serious mistakes, do not make any more. Hire an attorney now!
