There are few if any sactuary spaces in the US, where one cannotbe arrested on an open warrant. Having said that, most dirver license bureaus are run by civilians that have licenses to run such offices under contract with the state. Many do not search for warrants when renewing licenses. The better way is to deal with the warrants straight up. But, it is unlikely that you will be arrested just for renewing your license.

Good luck

It is possible, but it is not likely. The previous response contained excellent advice. You should hrie an attorney to deal with any outstanding warrants. In many cases we can get those warrants cancelled and then represent a person on the underlying charges. In more serious cases, we can often negotiate with the prosecutor, arrange for a "voluntary surrender" and then obtain a Court Order either reducing the defendant's bond or perhaps even approving the release fo the defendant upon recognizance (his promise to appear in court when required). Your life will be much easierafter you have taken care of these warrants. If you do not already have an attorney, you may call me for a free tetlephone consultation.
