Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

drug possesion

i was recently arrested for possession of marijauana and was bonded out for $500. over the past 8 yrs, i have experienced 6months of unsupervised probation in 2004 and recently completed a diversion program for a marijuana charge in 2006 in which the charge was expunged from my record upon completion.

During these past years, the charge i plead guilty to in 2000 is the only charge that is on my record. i did not cause the officer any problems which is also notated on the police report.

What type of consequences could i expect? to avoid spending time in jail, what type of offers are most likely to be presented to me?

Re: drug possesion

You need to hire the best criminal defense attorney you can afford, and as soon as possible. Although you did not tell us wherther you are charged with a felony or with misdemeanor, either one would have serious negative consequences for you if you take a conviction. Any competent attorney would require a lot more information from you before giving you any advice or quoting you a fee for undertaking representation. If you are not already working together with an attorney, you may call me for a consultation.
