illegal police entry.
if someone answers a door and tells the police to wait there while they get another party, and the cops enter through the sceen door is that illegal entry?

Yes, but the police will say that you gave your consent for them to enter, and then it will be your w2ord against theirs in court. That is why I advise my clients to shut the door, lock it, and do not give police any opportunity to enter your property without your actual consent. Now, if they claimed to have found anything illegal, or any evidence they intend to use in court against anyone, then I would strongly advise you to consult with an attorney.
