Minimum and maximum sentence for rape and child molestation
I am a college student writing a paper on castration of sex offenders. I can't seem to find any information on what the maximum and minimum sentence is for rape and also child molestation. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Texas law re your question
In TX the range is 2-99 or life, 2-20 for lesser offenses such an indecent exposure or contact, 5-99 or life for Agravated Sexual assault, multiple prosecutions are allowed and - since Septermber 1st, the sentences can run consecutively.
Also , as of Sept 1, Artile 42.18(8) (Code of Criminal Procedure) specifically prohibits requiring an orchiectomy as a condition of parole.
