Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

misrepresentation of events

I was arested for assult, my boyfriend and I were arguing, I threw a klenex box at him, he called the police and stated I was drugged up. He knows the police, he works on their police cars, his uncle is the sheriff and his aunt is the mayor, he is well conected. I just wanted my personal belongings. Got tired of waiting and was leaving when cops were coming down the road so I stopped them and told them all I wanted was my things. They directed me to pull back in and they would see what they could do. My boyfriend states he just wants me removed from the property but they arrest me for assult. They search my car and find approx. 1--name removed--of meth. which was mine. when they wrote the police report they stated they stopped me, which is not correct and arrested me for wreckless driving. They say I threw rocks when leaving the premisses. My boyfriend never filed assult charges against me, can they do this? Do I have any recourse?

Re: misrepresentation of events

The first thing you need to do is hire the best criminal defense attorney you can. Possession of any amount of Methamphetamine is a serious matter. If there is legal cause to attack the arrest or the search, your attorney will explain the legal procedures. If you do not already have an attorney and the charge against you is pending anywhere near St. Louis, I may be able to help you myself. You may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
